David Icke

David Icke Interview mp3 – (audio 88min)
David Vaughan Icke (pronounced /aɪk/) (born April 29, 1952) is a British writer. A former professional football player, reporter, television sports presenter, and spokesman for the Green Party, he has devoted himself since 1990 to researching "who and what is really controlling the world." [1] He is the author of 20 books explaining his views. Icke argues that he has developed a moral and political worldview that combines New Age spiritualism with a passionate denunciation of what he sees as totalitarian trends in the modern world. His views have been described as "New Age conspiracism." At the heart of Icke's theories is the view that the world is ruled by a secret group called the "Global Elite" or "Illuminati," He is the author of 20 books explaining his views.

I am not a huge fan of his books, but in between some thoughtful insights.
What you might find interesting, is this candid radio interview where he discusses openly his view on life and what events shaped his views. What I found interesting here, is the nature of following one’s INTUITION and being aware of the symbols and signs that confront us in our every day life. These shape the nature of our destiny. Iain

The Human Behaviour Experiment -wmv (visual 43min)

The Human Behavior Experiment
The documentary takes a historical look at the psychology of unethical behavior by examining the work of social scientists in the 1960s and 1970s and current scandals like Abu Ghraib. Peer pressure and the presence of authority can easily influence human action, one has always be aware of that, that's why it is important to have a clear philosophical fundament to objectivly value one's action.

A Simulation Study of the Psychology of Imprisonment Conducted at Stanford University
What happens when you put good people in an evil place? Does humanity win over evil, or does evil triumph? These are some of the questions we posed in this dramatic simulation of prison life conducted in the summer of 1971 at Stanford University. How we went about testing these questions and what we found may astound you. Our planned two-week investigation into the psychology of prison life had to be ended prematurely after only six days because of what the situation was doing to the college students who participated. In only a few days, our guards became sadistic and our prisoners became depressed and showed signs of extreme stress. Please join me on a slide tour describing this experiment and uncovering what it tells us about the nature of Human Nature.   --Philip G. Zimbardo

Joseph Campbell The Grail Legends audio mp3 (259min)

The Grail Legend
In this fascinating recording, Joseph Campbell explores the historical roots of the Grail lengend. He discusses the development of the Roman Catholic Church in the Dark Ages, and shows how new conceptions of love, marriage, and worship gave rise to a secular "religion," that of courtly romance. He then examines the quest for the Holy Grail, both as an expression of these new ideas of love and as a reaction against the dogmatic practices of the medieval Church. Finally, in his own inimitable style, he recounts the Grail Legend.
The story of Percival's search for the Holy Grail is the greatest of the Arthurian Romances. Percival, Campbell's archetypal hero, is the son of a champion and a queen. Raised in ignorance of his own station, he sets forth naively to join the Knights of the Round Table. While undertaking a great quest to heal a wounded king, the unsophisticated man has a series of fantastic adventures, earns his knighthood, discovers his manhood, becomes truly himself, and consummates a love-marriage. The mythic power of this timeless tale has influenced many great artists over the intervening centuries.

As a Man Thinketh by James Allen audio mp3 (54min)

As A Man Thinketh is partly responsible for the creation of the entire personal development industry.  Most contemporary PD authors and teachers credit this little book for providing foundation to their principles.  It is a set of philosophical musings on the power of our thoughts. Earl Nightingale, widely regarded as the father of modern day personal development, in his best-selling recording,  called the ideas in this book, "The Strangest Secret".  The secret, he said, is "we become what we think about".
Now considered a classic self-help book, As a Man Thinketh's underlying premise is that noble thoughts make a noble person, lowly thoughts make a miserable person. In short: you are what you think. As a Man Thinketh is read by Brian Johnson, Philosopher and CEO of Zaadz, Inc.

The Gospel of Judas by Sherwin T. Wine audio mp3 (82min)

For 1600 years its message lay hidden. When the bound papyrus pages of this lost gospel reached scholars who could unlock its meaning, they were astounded. Here was a gospel that had not been seen since the early days of Christianity, and which few experts had even thought existed - a gospel told from the perspective of Judas Iscariot, history’s ultimate traitor. And far from being a villain, the Judas that emerges in its pages is a hero. In this radical reinterpretation, Jesus asks Judas to betray him. Condemned as heretical, this gospel was consigned to oblivion. Its recent discovery created a sensation in the Christian and Jewish worlds.
