FUTURE PLANNED INTUITION WALKS - 2012

Open day. Leap Year Picnic and Swim at Silvermine Dam. Picnic lunch under the shady trees around the Silvermine Dam and a swim in the Silvermine Dam to cool down. Open to all. No official walk is planned for the Sunday. The Silvermine get together is an open day and we are flexible to you coming and going as you wish. Meeting time 10AM to ensure that we are able to secure a spot for the group before it becomes too busy.

@ -- Sunday 12th February 2012 - [FULLY BOOKED] - Full Day River Trail Walk - Krom River Trail - Du Toitskloof ( just after the tunnel on the N1 on the left).
This easy out-and-back trail starts in Du Toitskloof, immediately to the left after the Worcester exit of the Huguenot Tunnel. Permit holders can park at a fenced parking area, about 700m after the tunnel, on the left side of the road near the tunnel control truck stop. The trail crosses the Krom and Molenaars Rivers and leads for 2.5km (about 2.5 hours) to the Krom River waterfall.
The first section (about 10 minutes) of the footpath follows the right bank of the Molenaars River in the direction of the old tunnel. When it reaches the Krom River the path follows the right side of the kloof. At the top end of the kloof the vegetation becomes more dense. The last section leads through indigenous riverine forest to the first waterfall. 7km (8hrs) - 3.5km each way. The trail follows the river - passing magnificent mountain pools up to the waterfall (ideal for swimming)
