Here's a look at meditation for beginners.

Meditation is one of the vital elements of occult and esoteric practices, especially in the study of Kabala. I heard saying that prayer is the conversation with the Divine, while meditation consists in listening to the answers. Meditation practices offer many benefits, from finding answers to reducing stress, to acquire essential meanings, and strengthen ourselves. Here are some techniques of meditation for beginners:

There are many varieties of meditation. Some are in the form of imaginary journeys, while others focus on physical relaxation of the body and mind. It seems that the best way of getting maximum results is to choose a method and practice for a long time.

If you have never meditated, you can try one of the following techniques to discover which of them suits you the best. Keep in mind that meditation represents a moment of relaxation, when you must forget about all your worries and problems.

"The Testimony" represents the purest form of meditation. Just focus on your thoughts that come and go without judging yourself. We are so used to analyze our thoughts and ideas, that it's interesting to perceive them from completely neutral position.

Vipassana is one of the most ancient techniques of meditation in India. It is a process of personal purification through inner observation. Breathing should be smooth and regular. Vipassana is a technique that aims to eliminate sufferance; it is an art of living that allows you to have a positive role in society. Each person can practice freely, without distinction of race or religion, anywhere and at any time, and the result will be salutary for all.

Zazen is the fundamental meditation technique practiced by Zen Buddhists. Breathing plays an important role. Zen breathing is unique. It aims primarily to establish a slow, strong and natural rhythm. Zazen represents a way to rediscover the simplicity and freshness of natural life.

Tratak (fixed gazing) consists in awakening the force of kundalini (Divine energy). You must focus on a specific object, regardless of its nature. Just choose a lighted candle, a flower or the photo of one's guru or spiritual master. The main purpose of this exercise is to focus all your thoughts on the object contemplated. Through meditation, you will clear your mind and relax.

Listening- Meditation is based on the idea of relaxation and non-participation. Focus on music, incantations or natural sounds; feel the essence of sound and your mind will achieve clarity and responsiveness.

Mantra opens the way to meditation and to a state of non-duality. This practice involves the rhythmic invocation of a sound. Most people use the word 'flower' and the names of saints or famous teachers. For example, "Om Namah Shivaya" refers to God. You can repeat the word in three ways- audible, whisper or silent (in the thought). Each word must be associated with a mental or physical symbol. Often, mantras are associated with breathing to induce a deeper meditation.

As you see, meditation is more than just a practice. It is a way to bring inner peace in your life and raise the power of concentration. More than that, it contributes to the physical and psychological well beingHealth Fitness Articles, improving our health.
